There is intermediate flat spring to prevent damage of the attachment body.</p> <p>Take note that there are also 3 small grub screws installed. If your lens rear part is too short to be secured reliably with thumb screws via compression spring, you should remove the spring and secure your lens with those 3 grub screws.
