Machined from high quality aluminium alloy.

The intended use is with the current generation of Leica spotting scopes, the 65 and 82mm versions. In addition to the Leica bayonet mount, there is a 44Mx1 male screw mount for accessories at the eyepiece. This adapter allows mounting other T2 accessories to the scope as well (Baader T2 female eyepiece focusing clamp, for example).

According to Baader, M44x1 was an early Zeiss standard mount (probably before WWII).
