This adapter may have have numerous applications for night vision devices and security cameras. If you add a commonly available M48 spacer ring, it becomes a nosepiece suitable for use in 2-inch telescope focusers. Because it doesn’t have a flange, it can be inserted slightly INTO the focuser. This is handy if the telescope doesn’t have enough in-focus.
