This adapter ring allows the Rapido 35A to connect to a matte box with a 143mm back, letting the 35A extend from infinity to close focus without hitting the filters inside the rear of your matte box.

The ring is slightly longer than the length of the 35A at close focus, creating a light seal between the 35A and matte box as the focuser extends into close focus.

Because this part is secured to the matte box back, and slips around the 35A passively, the matte box needs to be secured to rods or via a swing-away arm. This part does not use the front threads of your Rapido 35A and does not allow clip on matte box usage.
